For these past two our class has been working on our book buzz Videos. A book buzz is a paper that tells you things about a book. I read Olives Ocean by Kevin Henkes.
A few weeks ago, our class and I started to become experts on a explorer. I chose Juan Ponce de Leon, I had to look through books and search on the internet. Once we were finished I had to make this Narable we had to find pictures and record the facts that we have found.
Opinion essays are pieces that let you show your opinion to a topic. Opinion essays are good for showing your thoughts. The essays let people know your opinion. It could persuade them to be on your side of a topic. It could show them your side is the best side. When the people hear your thoughts they could be inspired to take your side.
Manning III was in Drew, Mississippi in 1949. He played every sport Drew had to offer. His first year of football was in fifth grade. He played as a running back, but he was interested in being quarterback. Archie loved football so much that he played for two separate teams. When he started playing for his junior high team the parents of the opposing youth teams complained that he shouldn’t be able to play for youth teams.
In high school Archie’s math teacher was my grandfather’s cousin, Ruby Nell Stancil. Archie was the quarterback for the Ole Miss Rebels from 1968-1970. Archie almost dropped out of college when his father died. The speed limit at Ole Miss is 18 MPH in honor of Archie’s number.
Archie played pro football from 1971-1984. He played for the New Orleans Saints, the Houston Oilers, and the Minnesota Vikings. Archie played for the Saints from 1971-1982. He played for the Vikings from 1983-1984. Archie Manning never made it to the Super Bowl, let alone the playoffs.
Archie grew up in a small town in Mississippi and made it to the big times in football. People always have things to say about Archie Manning, and they’ll have more to talk about because of his sons, Peyton and Eli. Everybody now knows him as Archie Manning, the football star.
